SEEPAGE BARRIERS

Seepage barrier are constructed in order to control and mitigate the flow, or seepage, of water. Depending on the seepage barrier method employed, they are constructed using soil and bentonite, cement and bentonite, concrete, balanced stable cement grout, or chemical grout. We have installed seepage barriers in both soil and rock including some of the largest seepage barriers ever constructed on large earthen dams. We have successfully installed seepage barriers with a final permeability measuring less than 1 x 10^-5 cm/s.
